What this job is

Loss Adjusters assess insurance claims after events such as fires, floods, accidents, or theft. They visit damaged sites, gather evidence, interview witnesses, review policy documents, and prepare detailed reports for insurers. The goal is to reach a fair and accurate settlement figure based on the facts of each case. Some Loss Adjusters specialise in property, others in liability, marine, or commercial claims. The work is largely independent, and strong written communication is central to the role.

Pay

A$1,995 a week

This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
