What this job is
Management Accountants work inside organisations to track how money is being spent and whether the business is hitting its financial targets. They prepare internal reports, build budgets, analyse costs, and flag where the numbers are heading in the wrong direction. Unlike a tax accountant or auditor, the audience for this work is internal: executives, department heads, and boards. The goal is to give decision-makers clear, timely financial information so they can act on it.
Pay
A$2,003 a week
This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
