What this job is
An NDIS Plan Manager acts as a financial intermediary for people with disability who are funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The core work involves receiving invoices from service providers, checking them against a participant's approved plan, processing payments through the NDIS portal, and reporting back to the participant on how their funds are tracking. The role is not the same as a support coordinator, who focuses on connecting participants to services. A plan manager focuses on the money: budgets, claims, receipts, and compliance with NDIS rules. Most plan managers work for registered plan management organisations, though some operate as sole traders.
Pay
A$1,442 a week
This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
