What this job is
This role focuses on coordinating support for NDIS participants whose situations are complicated by factors such as mental health conditions, housing instability, involvement with the justice system, or multiple diagnoses. A Specialist Support Coordinator works with the participant, their family or carers, and a range of service providers to make sure the NDIS plan is actually put into action. The work involves assessing risk, resolving crises, building a participant's capacity to manage their own supports over time, and reporting back to the NDIS on how funding is being used. It is distinct from general support coordination because it requires a higher level of clinical or psychosocial knowledge.
Pay
A$1,844 a week
This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
