What this job is

An NDIS Support Coordinator works with NDIS participants to put their funded plan into action. That means reading and interpreting a participant's plan, identifying suitable service providers, booking and managing supports, and helping the participant build their own capacity to manage things over time. The role is not the same as direct care work. It is more about coordination, advocacy, and navigating a complex system on behalf of someone else. Support Coordinators also liaise with allied health professionals, housing services, community organisations, and government agencies. Paperwork and reporting to the NDIS are a regular part of the job.

Pay

A$1,844 a week

This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
