What this job is

A Retail Manager is responsible for the overall performance of a retail store or department. That covers rostering staff, managing stock, setting sales targets, handling customer complaints, and making sure the store meets its financial goals. The role sits between the shop floor and senior leadership, so communication skills matter as much as operational know-how. Retail Managers may work in anything from a small independent shop to a large chain store, and the scope of the role changes accordingly.

Pay

A$1,620 a week

This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
