What this job is

Technical Sales Representatives sell products or services where the buyer needs a detailed explanation before committing. This could mean selling industrial machinery, scientific instruments, software systems, medical devices, or engineering components. The core task is translating technical specifications into plain business benefits for the customer. You need enough product knowledge to answer hard questions on the spot, and enough commercial skill to close a deal. The role is different from general sales because the product itself is the complexity, and the representative is expected to understand it deeply.

Pay

A$2,596 a week

This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
