The honest hard part
Most acting work is casual and insecure. Many actors never break through to reliable pay and need second jobs indefinitely. The rejection rate is brutal and constant.
Where the jobs are
Regional Australia has limited professional opportunities outside community theatre. Remote work is not viable for this role. Most jobs are short-term contracts tied to specific productions rather than ongoing employment.
Pay

This is the median for full-time employees who are not managers and are paid at the adult rate, before tax and salary sacrifice. It is a guide to what the work pays, not a wage rate.
