Requirements

The standard entry pathway requires a bachelor degree or higher (ABS Skill Level 1). Specific qualification requirements vary by employer and state. Some employers may accept equivalent experience. The honest hard part

You'll need to enter as a junior officer and work through the ranks: there's no fast track for career changers. This means years of lower pay, rigid hierarchy, and living under military discipline before you reach senior officer rank. You also accept deployment risk and separation from family for months at a time.

Where the jobs are

Most roles are location-dependent and tied to base postings, not remote work.
