Can employers fill these jobs

Employers hiring for this occupation were generally able to find suitable applicants in 2025. Ratings are not the same everywhere. SA and WA were rated in shortage. Requirements

The standard entry pathway requires a diploma, advanced diploma or associate degree (ABS skill level 2). Specific qualification requirements vary by employer and state. Some employers may accept equivalent experience. Check yourcareer.gov.au for available courses and dewr.gov.au/skills-reform/free-tafe for subsidised training options.

The honest hard part

The work is repetitive and detail-obsessive. You'll spend hours tracking dates, updating spreadsheets, and chasing signatures on documents. One missed deadline or miscalculated contract variation can cost your employer thousands. Pay growth is often limited unless you move into senior management. Automation may take over more of the routine admin tasks over time.

Where the jobs are

Practically speaking, you'll find most positions in metro areas within large organisations. Some government and corporate roles allow remote work, but availability varies by employer and state.
