Requirements

The standard entry pathway requires a Certificate IV or Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training (ABS skill level 3). The honest hard part

You'll need to chase accreditation constantly. ARC guidelines update regularly. Work is often casual or part-time, bunched around corporate safety training cycles, so steady full-time income is hard to find. Pay sits well below skilled trades.

Where the jobs are

First aid training concentrates in capital cities and large regional centres where corporate workplaces, hospitals, and training providers cluster. Remote work is minimal since you need to run hands-on CPR practice. Regional areas have fewer jobs and more travel between bookings.
