The honest hard part

You'll be stuck outdoors in all weather, often starting before dawn to check plants. Automation of watering and monitoring systems may mean fewer supervisor jobs over time. Biosecurity rules and chemical paperwork are heavy, and one mistake with pesticide records can get you prosecuted.

Where the jobs are

Most work is in commercial nurseries, vineyards, and botanic gardens rather than remote areas: you need to be on site daily. Remote work doesn't exist in this field. The nursery industry clusters near major cities and agricultural regions.
