Requirements
The standard entry pathway requires a bachelor degree or higher (ABS Skill Level 1). Specific qualification requirements vary by employer and state. Some employers may accept equivalent experience. Check yourcareer.gov.au for available courses and dewr.gov.au/skills-reform/free-tafe for subsidised training options.
The honest hard part
Many organisations see training as a cost to minimise, not invest in, so your programmes get cut when budgets tighten. You'll also spend a lot of time chasing managers to release staff for training and then dealing with low attendance or engagement.
Where the jobs are
Regional areas have fewer dedicated positions. Practically speaking, most opportunities are in city-based head offices. Remote delivery is now common, but the jobs themselves aren't equally distributed across Australia.
Pay
